May is Haitian Heritage Month, and there’s lots going on to celebrate. Haitian Heritage Month is a celebration in the United States, during the month of May, of Haitian heritage and culture. Its purpose raise awareness and understanding about Haitian culture and traditions.
Much of the activity is centered around Haitian Flag Day, which is Tuesday, May 18th. There will be various events around that date, including a Haitian Flag Day celebration on Saturday, May 15 from 3 PM to 6 PM, featuring music by Valory Paul, Belle Poupe, DJ Stanley, and others.
